Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
